The MidOpt Bi905 Near-Infrared (IR) Interference Bandpass Filter is recommended for use with 905nm IR diode lasers or diode laser module lighting. 905nm is commonly used for autonomous vehicle / driver assistance lidar systems. It's also commonly used in hand-held laser rangefinder applications, laser speed detectors, surveying equipment, cloud ceilometers, proximity fuses, safety curtains, laser therapy devices and weapons simulation. 905nm Bandpass Filters are often necessary for reducing unwanted noise from sunlight and other ambient light sources, greatly reducing errors by improving signal-to-noise ratios. These single-substrate, hard-coated filters block all ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS) and near-infrared (IR) wavelengths outside of the desired 905nm passband. MidOpt Bandpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
