MidOpt - Bi685 Dark Red Interference Bandpass Filter

The MidOpt Bi685 Dark Red Interference Bandpass Filter is designed for use in aerial vegetative health monitoring applications. The Bi685 isolates the 685nm wavelength range used in some red light vegetative health indices. When plants are stressed or dying, photosynthesis slows down or stops. Infrared (IR) wavelengths are absorbed, while more visible (VIS) light – particularly red light – is reflected. The Bi685 can also be used with dark red laser diodes and LED lighting operating in the 680-690nm range in situations where ambient light can be overwhelming or separation from other red lighting wavelengths is needed. MidOpt Bandpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
