MidOpt - LP850 Near-Infrared (IR) Longpass Filter

The MidOpt LP850 Near-Infrared (IR) Longpass Filter is a great option for eliminating overwhelming visible (VIS) and near-infrared (IR) ambient light, especially when the spectral response of the camera beyond 900nm is approaching zero. Otherwise the LP920 Near-IR Longpass Filter may be a better option. Longpass filters are often referred to as "sharp-cut" filters and are specifically designed to pass a broad spectrum of longer wavelength light while blocking shorter wavelengths. They're commonly used in fluorescence applications to block an excitation light source or to pass multiple emission wavelengths, improving signal-to-noise ratio. MidOpt Longpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
