MidOpt - LP715 Near-Infrared (IR) Longpass Filter
SKU: LP715-25.5
The MidOpt LP715 Near-Infrared (IR) Longpass Filter is used with a monochrome camera to improve infrared contrast and resolution. Longpass filters are often referred to as "sharp-cut" filters and are specifically designed to pass a broad spectrum of longer wavelength light while blocking shorter wavelengths. They're commonly used in fluorescence applications to block an excitation light source or to pass multiple emission wavelengths, improving signal-to-noise ratio. To block deeper infrared light, the MidOpt BP800 Bandpass Filter is an excellent choice when the filter material is 1mm thick or less. MidOpt Longpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
