MidOpt - LP470 Light Yellow Bandpass Filter

The MidOpt LP470 Light Yellow Longpass Filter is used with a monochrome camera and helps increase contrast and resolution by passing most visible (VIS) and near-infrared (IR) wavelengths while blocking ultraviolet (UV) and shorter deep blue wavelengths. Longpass filters are often referred to as "sharp-cut" filters and are specifically designed to pass a broad spectrum of longer wavelength light while blocking shorter wavelengths. They're commonly used in fluorescence applications to block an excitation light source or to pass multiple emission wavelengths, improving signal-to-noise ratio. To achieve a similar effect while also blocking longer wavelengths including the near-IR (NIR), the MidOpt BP505 is recommended, which transmits longer wavelengths, decreasing contrast in many LED-illuminated imaging applications. MidOpt Longpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
