MidOpt - LP590 Red Longpass Filter

The MidOpt LP590 Red Longpass Filter is used with a monochrome camera to increase contrast and resolution by blocking ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) light while passing red light and near-infrared (IR) wavelengths. Longpass filters are often referred to as "sharp-cut" filters and are specifically designed to pass a broad spectrum of longer wavelength light while blocking shorter wavelengths. They're commonly used in fluorescence applications to block an excitation light source or to pass multiple emission wavelengths, improving signal-to-noise ratio. To block longer IR wavelengths, the MidOpt BP635 is recommended. MidOpt Longpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
